Gabrielle Curry
A creative force who learned SEO.
I started writing professionally before I really knew where it would take me.
Over the years, my career moved from content writing into SEO research, editorial work, consulting, enterprise content strategy, in-house SEO, organic growth, and now the changing world of AI-powered search.
The job title has changed a few times.
The underlying question hasn't:
How do you get the right message in front of the right person?
I like figuring things out.
What excites me most about this industry is how there is always a new technical challenge, a new Google update, a new change to the algorithm, a new tool, a new crackdown.
As SEOs, we have the opportunity to adapt, pivot, and overcome one hurdle at a time.
I enjoy experimenting with new tools and A/B testing SEO strategies I come across from other industry professionals, finding out what works best as search continues to evolve in the age of AI.
I'm currently particularly interested in AEO, GEO, CRO, AI search, heatmaps, and user behavior.
I believe in human writing.
I believe in human writing when it counts; AI-generated when there is no penalty.
Or, what's best is to find a balance of the two in your editing process.
That's my personal opinion.
AI is a tool.
So are Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Frase, HTML, analytics platforms, heatmaps, and every other piece of technology I've learned over the years.
The interesting part isn't knowing how to open the tool.
It's knowing what question to ask it.
I've worked on both sides of the table.
I've worked for startups, agencies, enterprise companies, and small businesses.
-
I've been the writer.
-
I've been the editor.
-
I've been the consultant.
-
I've been the only SEO in the room.
-
I've presented strategy to enterprise clients.
-
I've worked directly with business owners who knew almost nothing about SEO.
-
I've worked alongside developers.
-
I've managed freelance writers.
-
I've interviewed CEOs.
-
I've built campaigns from scratch.
That variety has probably shaped me more than any single job.
I like being the person with new ideas.
One of the things clients have consistently mentioned in reviews is my willingness to share ideas.
That's important to me.
I like to be upfront about expectations, exceed goals when I can, deliver on promises, and bring new and exciting thoughts to the table that everyone can add their thoughts to, propelling a constant wheel of innovation.
I'm looking for a team that shares those values, a team that isn't interested in cutting corners, but in pushing limits.
